Thank you City of Angels for 32 years of a wonderful life, but alas I must move back to the land of my birth. I will miss L.A. and the River! I will leave the site up for some time to keep the info flowing about the river. Ciao' Angelenos it was fun. - k

This is like 2 parks in 1 and maybe it is, I don't know. You first encounter a very nice large park with a baseball field, bathrooms and a very bright orange play area for the kids. If you want river access, keep walking past this about another 100 feet down Chevy chase and there will be a paved lot. This is where you want to be. If you parked over by the first park, just leave the car there. The trees will keep your car cool here. The other lot has no trees. Here will be a dirt walk path benches and rotunda to sit and the river path.
If you walk the path south and walk about 7/10s a mile you will end up at the Los Feliz Gate designed by Michael Amescua. I did it, it was a great walk, went by all the horse stables, saw great horses and felt like I was on vacation.
