Thank you City of Angels for 32 years of a wonderful life, but alas I must move back to the land of my birth. I will miss L.A. and the River! I will leave the site up for some time to keep the info flowing about the river. Ciao' Angelenos it was fun. - k

This is a very small park and an opening to the LA River.
This side of the river is more rustic. The path is worn and rough. Here you can see where the old Red Trolley crossed the river. The bridge has been removed but you can see the column that once suspended it. It is now home to hundreds of sea gulls that find the River a more relaxing home opposed to the tourist laden beaches. This was a fun stop. I found it by accident because of the sea gulls. I wanted to photo them and found this opening. It is right off the 5 freeway at the Glendale Blvd exit. You have to enter off of Greensward Rd. Take a right into Greensward off Glendale Blvd then take another right onto Ferncroft.
